Clairedurango nanny

Hello there! My name is Claire and I grew up in both Seattle and a little town in southern Oregon called Klamath Falls. I switched sides of the country to attend college at the University of Vermont, where I studied History and Parks, Recreation & Tourism. I’d like to say I studied skiing too, though I didn’t get academic credit for that. I moved to Durango after I graduated for all that it has to offer in the great outdoors. That said, I love backpacking, kayaking, hiking, snowshoeing, and the list goes on. Unfortunately, my favorite food is sushi and Colorado isn’t exactly known for its seafood. I love kids because of their curiosity, energy, and zest for life that I find contagious when I’m around them. My favorite camp game is capture the flag, my favorite board game is Sorry, and my favorite gym game is dodgeball. As an ex-camp counselor, I’m a master of creating scavenger hunts, crafts from only a toilet paper roll, and silly songs (in my most lovely singing voice). Aside from a little more wisdom and a little more responsibility, I am a kid at heart!

Alexsa

Hello All! My name is Alexsa and I’m a fun, energetic babysitter who would love to take care of your kiddo! I’m a Texas native, born and raised. I recently graduated from Texas A&M University and decided it was time to spread my Southern wings and fly to somewhere with a little more elevation. A couple months later I found myself in the wonderful town of Durango, Colorado. Since my move here, I have nothing but praise for this amazing mountain town. I’m an active outdoor enthusiast, so needless to say we will always be moving and grooving all around. I lived in Granada, Spain for 5 months so hablo un poco de espanol! I also have experience with special needs kiddos and multiples. To quote my favorite movie “Up” Adventure is out there, so lets start discovering!

Hello Families! My name is Mary. I am a very light-hearted, creative, energetic person. The words FUN, curious, and adventurous describe me…and this is why I would LOVE to hang out with your kiddo(s)! I love kids because of their zest for life, energy, and curiosity. I relate well to them, because I am a BIG KID at HEART!!! I have been around children, my whole life and started babysitting at the age of 12 for family and friends. I have extensive experience babysitting for individual families with miscellaneous child care needs, teaching children’sSunday school, volunteering in the infant/toddler room at my church, and assisting with MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers). I’m an active outdoor enthusiast, so your child(ren) and I will be on the move for sure! I LOVE being outside in nature…exploring, hiking, camping, and discovering new things to photograph Durango’s AWESOME surroundings. My imagination and creativity lends well to dreaming up new arts and crafts projects and creating new games to play. These activities, along with my love of music and singing…bring me GREAT JOY and I LOVE to share these with the kids in my care. There is nothing better than learning daily through the eyes of a child![/showhide]
